Meet the Bride and Groom

Stacy and Jan first crossed paths online in the most unexpected way — while Jan was searching for a turkey recipe. What started as a simple, practical exchange slowly turned into a light and casual friendship. Messages were easy, conversations flowed naturally, and there was no pressure or expectation, just two people enjoying a genuine connection sparked by curiosity and humor — and a shared love for good recipes.

He looked for a turkey recipe and discovered a unicorn.

Over time, as both went through challenging personal times, that easy friendship slowly deepened, and being there for one another helped them appreciate the connection that was evolving. What had been casual conversation became a space of trust, honesty, respect and mutual support, allowing a meaningful bond to naturally take shape.

Being from two different countries and cultures, separated by an ocean, meant that nothing about Stacy and Jan’s relationship could be or was rushed. Distance created space for listening, reflection, and patience. Instead of quick assumptions or fast steps, their connection grew through conversations, shared thoughts, and moments of getting to know each other on a deeper level. What emerged over time was a sense of familiarity and trust that felt steady, natural, and grounded.

When they finally met in person for the first time over a casual lunch during one of Jan’s business trips, it felt less like meeting a stranger and more like continuing a conversation with a friend that had already been unfolding over time. There was ease, warmth, and a quiet recognition that something meaningful had been taking shape all along. That simple lunch marked a gentle turning point, confirming what distance and time had already allowed to grow: a true friendship built slowly, intentionally, and with care. A friendship that eventually turned into a deep felt love and appreciation for each other which we now want to celebrate in a bond for life.

The Bride

Stacy Marvin

The fact that she was born on 07/07/75 already tells you that Stacy carries a special kind of magic. As a devoted mom of three amazing humans — Zachariah, Ahnalyse, and Matthew — she's been managing to balance strength, warmth, and humor with impressive ease. With 20 years of experience in the dental world, including running and managing dental offices, she knows how to keep things organized, calm, and smiling (professionally and personally).

Southern-born and raised, with roots in Missouri and many years in Phoenix, Stacy brings a vibrant, passionate energy and lots of sunshine into everything she does — sometimes even with a wonderful hint of “Latina” fire included which explains her love for Mexican food. She’s kind, open-minded, intelligent, and carries a naturally positive view of the world. And yes, she is absolutely gorgeous — a completely unbiased observation, according to the groom.

The Groom

Jan Krueder

Born on September 6, 1967, Jan is a proud father of three wonderful kids — Laurenz, Caecilie (Sissi), and Vincenz — and wears that role with quiet pride and a big heart. An aerospace engineer by training, he has spent the last 30 years in various leadership roles at Airbus. He also follows his passion as a life and leadership coach in private practice — proof that rockets and humans aren’t all that different after all (both can fly high if handled properly).

Growing up in a region of Germany with a strong U.S. Army presence, Jan developed an early and lasting connection to the United States. That bond deepened when he lived in Arkansas for five years with his family, even adding an American citizen to the mix when Vincenz was born in Little Rock. Kind, warm-hearted, and guided by values of growth, freedom, and authentic connection, Jan easily earns his place in what the bride lovingly calls the “top 1%.”
