A Week To Celebrate Together
When we first created this website, we shared that we wanted our wedding to be more than a single day—especially for those traveling such a long way to celebrate with us.
Many of you are crossing an ocean to be here, and we know that a journey from Europe to the Ozarks is no small undertaking. It means more to us than we can say that you are making the trip, and we would love to make the most of the additional time we have together.
For the family and friends already joining us during the days leading up to the wedding, we have planned a week of activities and shared experiences. By now, everyone included in these plans will have heard from us directly, but we wanted to bring the full schedule together here so you can see what the week will hold.
Reservations and arrangements are being made around the group as planned, so we are counting on everyone to join the activities included in their schedule. If anything changes unexpectedly, please let us know as soon as possible.
Here is what we have planned:
Sunday, September 13
Ladies’ Brunch
We’ll begin the week with a relaxed brunch for the ladies—a chance to enjoy some good food, laughter, and time together before the week becomes a little busier.
Monday, September 14
An Afternoon at the Shooting Range
On Monday afternoon, Stacy’s Dad will take us to the shooting range for a distinctly American experience and, maybe, a little friendly competition.
Tuesday, September 15
Springfield Aquarium & Bass Pro Shops
On Tuesday, we’ll head to Springfield to visit the impressive Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium. Its immersive exhibits take you through habitats from the Ozarks to the ocean, with everything from stingrays and penguins to underwater tunnels surrounded by sharks. We’ll also spend some time exploring the original—and enormous—Bass Pro Shops next door. It should be a memorable day and a particularly American experience for those visiting from Europe.
Wednesday, September 16
Lake Day
Wednesday is our lake day: a chance to slow down, enjoy the beautiful Ozarks, and spend an easygoing day together by the water of Table Rock Lake. After traveling so far, we hope this will feel like a little vacation within the wedding week.
Thursday, September 17
A Free Morning & BBQ and Fun at Our House
Thursday morning is yours to sleep in, relax, explore, or simply do nothing at all.
Later in the afternoon, we’ll gather at our house for a casual BBQ and game time that will continue into the evening. Good food (incl. pulled pork for Sissi 😉), good conversation, fun games, and a house filled with people we love — it feels like exactly the right way to spend the day before the official wedding festivities begin.
Friday, September 18
Bachelor Golf Outing
On Friday morning, the groom and his group will head out for a round of golf — and probably a healthy amount of friendly competition and even better conversations.
Wedding Rehearsal & Rehearsal Dinner
In the afternoon, those involved in the ceremony will gather for the wedding rehearsal. We’ll then continue into the evening with our rehearsal dinner and the final countdown to the big day.
Saturday, September 19
Our Wedding Day
And then, finally, the day we have been looking forward to for so long.
After a week of welcoming, exploring, laughing, eating, and making memories together, we will gather at Dogwood Canyon to say “I do” and celebrate the beginning of our marriage with the people who mean the most to us.
We are incredibly grateful that you are making this journey to be here. We hope this week gives us more than a wedding day—we hope it gives us time together and memories that will stay with all of us long after everyone has traveled home.
We cannot wait to welcome you.
With love and anticipation,
