One Step closer ❤️

Today made everything feel just a little more real.

We picked up our marriage license — one more step forward on this journey that has already taken us across an ocean, through countless conversations, miles, time zones, plans, dreams, and eventually to the life we are building together.

For our friends and family outside the U.S.: a marriage license is the official document a couple obtains before getting married. It gives us the legal authorization to marry. After the wedding ceremony, it is signed and returned to the local authorities, and the marriage is then officially recorded.

So, no — we are not married quite yet. 😊 But we now have the piece of paper that says we are officially allowed to be.

There is still a wedding ahead of us, but there was something wonderfully meaningful about holding that license in our hands today. Somewhere between all the planning and anticipation, this suddenly started to feel very real.

Marriage license: acquired.
Next stop: “I do.” ❤️

We are headed forward, getting very close now, and could not be more excited for what comes next.
